Does anyone know if the Thomson drive just doesn't read DVD+Rs or is it just some problem with my drive? I had my xbox modded and had the drive replaced as well because the original was in bad shape and if I try a DVD+R in the drive it rarely reads them. It might make it into the first intro video but then it will give me DDE message. If I use DVD-Rs with the same .iso file I used before, it works just fine.

If your DVD burrner suports Booktyping then try booktyping it to burn the DVD+R diac to DVD-ROM but if DVD-R are working for the backups then why not just use the DVD-R if they work stick with them.
