first off,welcome to AD.

Now:
Quote:
DiskPeripheral : WDC WD1600JB-00EVA0 atapi Port 0 ID 1 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : SAMSUNG CD-ROM SC-148C atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : DVDRW IDE1004 atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off
These drives need to be in dma or udma mode. They are currently in pio mode. Go into device manager/locate ide ata/atapi controllers/open up and view both the primary's and secondary channels. If they say pio mode, uninstall that driver and reboot.Do the same to the other 2 channels. You want them to say DMA/UDMA/or DMA/UDMA if available. Not pio mode. After rebooting, windows xp should automatically hook these back to dma or udma. Do 1 channel at a time.

Second:
Quote:
Recorder: DVDRW IDE1004, Media type: DVD-R
Disc Manufacturer: CMC MA - G. AE1
This low quality media manufacturer may be the culprit of throwing your dmas into pio mode. Try higher quality media.

Third:
Quote:
Last possible write address on media: 2298495 (510:46.45)
Last address to be written: 2286111 (508:01.36)
Reduce that backup target: Open up dvd shrink
Edit
Preferences
Click dvd-5/enter custom/enter 4300 mbs/click ok.

Your backup target is now reduced.Usual culprit of uneven dye in low quality media. You may also reduce your burn speed under 4x!

Almost 1 hr to burn? This long burning time is due to Pio mode. You need to get them back to dma or udma, depending on your pc. Mine are UDMA5 and UDMA2.

That'll be a good start!
