Have I got too many DVD apps going on?

Hi guys,

Just removed Nero from my PC to let the other apps work together. I'm currently trying to backup using Any DVD, DVD shrink & DVD decrypter.

Do I actually need Any DVD since DVD shrink will (I believe) perform many of the same functions?

Does it impede or aid the system to have an app like Any DVD constantly running in the background?

I have access to Clone DVD and the Nero 6+ suite.Have I got the best (or at least a successful) combination running?

DVD shrink doesn't update anymore so some new movies you will need AnyDVD, You if you have AnyDVD then you don't really need decrypt. I'd keep Nero on you comp so you can tick the burn w/ Nero option in shrink.

Sorry to be a boffin.. but what particular app in Nero does the burning and does that app do the shrinking I need to get the file down to a size that fits?

copy and backup burns

and NO Nero doesnt shrink unless you have recode with your Nero package.recode does compress

actually your best combo there would be CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD i think thats the way to go very easy to use a great quality.

remember to use good blank media as in Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and burn at 4x you will have perfect backups everytime
