Hi to everybody. I am new to this forum, so I tried to look for an already exsisting answer to my problem searching in the old threads.
Unfortunately I didn't find one, so here I am asking directly. Sorry if an answer already exists, please just redirect me to it.
Said that, here is my question: for personal reasons (my laptop received some damages by a crash) I copy my DVDs from one external drive (that I will call F:) to another external drive (that I will call D:). For the reason above, the less the internal hard disk is involved, the better.
When I copy single layer discs, everything works fine, since I can use directly Nero Express with the 'Quick copy' option on. By this way I can clearly see that once the reading buffer of F: is full, the discharged data go directly into the buffer of D: that starts writing the info it receives on the virgin DVD I'm burning.
The problems start when I have to copy double layers disc and fit them into single layers copies. In this case I have to either compress the data or reauthor them using DVD Shrink. Once done that, DVD Shrink interfaces me directly with Nero Express through a menu. However the latter doesn't include the 'Quick copy' options and I am forced to have my data transit in hard disk selected folder during the process.
Is there a way to use the 'Quick copy' Nero option after having manipulated the read data with DVD Shrink?
In case this is not possible in any way, is there any sort of software combination that allows me to first shrink/reauthor the DVD on F: and then burn it directly to D: in 'Quick copy' style, ie without creating temporary files on the hard disc?
TIA for any answer.
