Hello
I have a modbo 1.2 modchip, and from reading from other threads on this site, i've found that people have sed that this chip is a very bad chip.

What makes it a bad chip? (except the reason that its a clone of the matrix chips)

Also where can i get flash upgrades that will work with this chip?

you cant flash it or change the settings on the chip or it will no longer work , that is why it is junk ..

I have a Modbo 2.0 modchip and it works good.

try flashing it or change settings and ill bet your ps2 will no longer work . but either way they are matrix rip offs .

Hi
They are a good enough chip and will do the job ok for you. But as has been said before DO NOT try and flash it.If i was you i would keep on using it untill it packs in or you come across a lot of games it wont boot

Actually, you can flash the modbo up to 1.4 without problems, any higher will kill it, and if you do change the settings, you will have to reflash it using swap magic, because the bios gets corupted. happen to one of my PS2's, i still thing that the infinity in my v10 is shabby!!
