DVD player goes from color to B&W

I have a Toshiba SD4800 DVD player hooked into a HDTV via S-Video cable. The picture starts in color, but after about 30 minutes the picture goes to black and white. The color comes back at times but only for a few seconds. Is the problem the S-Video cable? Any help would be appreciated!

probably the cable

since you got an HDTV why not connect it whit componont cables
