hello everyone,

i'm trying to use dvd shrink to only backup 1 episode from a season dvd with 3 episodes on it. when i go into re-author dvd and dragged just the 1 title out of dvd and encode it, dvd shrink ecodes it into 2 .vob files???
can i join the .vob files together or can i get it to encode into just 1 file???

any help would be greatly appreciated it...

also, can i burn from simply a .vob file or do i need any of the other output files it makes???

Your output from Shrink should contain a AudioTS file and a VideoTS file just open your burning program and burn the Video File. The VOB files are just the chapters of the movie, the data has been broken up so to 1G files for the computer system.

those VOB files should be in a folder called VIDEO_TS with some IFO and BUP files. There should also be an AUDIO_TS folder which is empty. These are the two folders you'll want to burn.

thanks for the reply guys!!! I'm at work so forgive this question... if i have 3 separate video ts files from 3 different episodes encoded from 3 separate dvd's that i wanted t back up into 1 dvd.. will Nero allow me to burn all 3 video ts files onto one dvd compilation????
