Cant get my comp to recognise driver HELP PLEASE!

Ive got V220 and windows 98, ive dowloaded and installed p2k and mobile phone tools but when i plug my phone into the computer it recognises it as a v220 and i direct it to the driver but it says it cant detect one, and ive got a couple of p2ks from diffrent places and tried them but it still says it can find the driver.
Someone please help casue ive been trying for months to get my phnotos off my phone and ive read so much of this forum but can find the answer.
