is it more reliable to use hd advance this way or use usb extreme alone i tried usb extreme but most games dont work then i bought swap magic 3.6 because i got told that it could load upto 4 games from a usb hard drive but i cant get any games to work i can load usb extreme of my hd through swap magic but thats it im new to this thanks for your quick response cheers!!!

Why not just use Swap Magic for the time being to load your backups, I'm sure somebody will assist you with your USB extreme problems.

my ps2 lazer is a bit dodgey so i wanted to use my usb hd to save my lazer life i wanted swap magic 3,6 to boot games of hd but it wont so im stuck ?????????

I don't know if you can use Swap Magic off your HD. I don't think you can, as a copy of it would be worthless. You would need an original copy or a modchip to boot it.

i have original swap magic my ps2 loads that not backups say disc read error so i want to load games of my hd ???????? i got swap magic to load usb advance of my hd but then the games wont load

I'm no expert on this, but that should work. From what I've read HD Advance is more reliable than USB extreme. Did you transfer the iso files to your USB HD?

Q. When I load up my HD Advance/HDloader, it just goes to the PS2 browser menu, what's going on?
A. If your HDloader crashes at the splash screen it is usually due to a HDD that is not compatible with the network adapter or incorrect jumper settings on the HDD.

Try loading HD advance off your HD with Swap Magic. If that works, then you should be able to load games off your HD with HD Advance. I'm not positive HD advance is compatible with USB HD's.
