Can you explain what it is that you are doing? You have not provided enough information for anyone to even begin to try and help you. Please give some details about what your process is and what you are trying to do.

Hi there,

This is usually caused by using CHEAP media and/or burning too fast.

What brand of media are you using ?
(Media ID is what we need to know)

VSO Inspector v1.1 can provide you with the Media ID.
Also provide you all you need to know about your drive etc...

If you are burning with Nero or VSO CopyToDVD, you can find the media id of your disks in the logs...

If you are using media id CMC Mag, these are probably the worse media that exists.

The media is so cheap, it has to do checks over checks, and ends up filling the "Power Calibration Area"

Do not burn too fast, try to burn at 4x max, and 2x only on CMC Mags.

Cougar ii hit it on the head.

It's either:

1. Cheap media.

2. Power issue with your burner.

3. Your burner just went kaput.

What's the name of the movie? What brand blanks are you trying to use? Alot of help can come your way if you only give up the requested information. As far as burning slower, you can try but I doubt it will help. It is recommended to burn at only half the rated speed of the blank, and since 8X blanks are common, 4X should be good.

Hi there,

Latest firmware for the NEC-1100a Retail is v1.93

http://support.necsam.com/optical/downloads//flashfirmware/fw/NEC...

Is this what you have ?

Check here if you have an OEM version (IODATA, Dell, Fujitsu)
