Problem with viper disc spinning

Hi, i installed a viper gc in my gamecube and flashed with cobra 1.2 using viper loader. I re assembled my gamecube, turn it on, the orginal gc screen loads and the disc spins for a bit but then stops. The soldering seems fine, and the wires, but do i have to somehow activate the chip? maybe using the programmer?

Anyone got any ideas?

You might want to check over your installation very carefully. It might also be a good idea to just reflash the bios and see if that helps at all.

OK i re-installed and reflashed the chip with cobra 1.2. Now when i boot it comes up with a cobra screen, but it seems to stay frozen on 'please wait'
Any ideas?

Well, at least you're making some progress.

Try a different bios and see if it makes a difference. Maybe the bios you downloaded is corrupt. Either that, or you bridged something and didn't notice.

You will have to excuse me, i made the most stupid mistake ever, probably due to the fact i mainly mod xboxes.

I forgot to plug the laser drive back into the motherboard.

Embarrassing, yes, but at least now i have it fully working, cheers for the support venom
