Trouble with Jet Li's Unleashed (unrated)

So far I've backed up numerous DVD's (including Lords of Dogtown and others that seemed to be giving some people problems) with no trouble. I've used DVD Fab to rip (w/ AnyDVD running in background), DVD Shrink to compress, and DVDD to burn. (Thanks to those in here that got me started)

However I get an error message with Jet Li's movie unleashed. I can rip it fine, but when I try to open the file w/ DVD Shrink I get this error message: "Invalid data in file....\VTS_8_1.vob" I've tried ripping twice with the same error.

Can anyone advise on how to sucessfully back this up? Thank you in advance.

I ripped Unleashed using DVD Shrink while running the latest version of AnyDVD in the background. Is your disk damaged?

The error code you are getting concerns that .VOB having a conflict w/ the corresponding .ifo file. There are 2 ways to correct this. One is to use IFOEdit and the other is to return the DVD for exchange as it is definitely a bad mastering press ( bad press, Bubble caused by the pressing). The reason for the return is if I tried to explain how to do the edit one of us might end up pulling their hair out.

Have you downloaded the latest version of AnyDVD. It is 5.5.1.1.

If not you can get it from http://www.slysoft.com Just download and install it and your registration will transfer over.

Before I exchange, I was wondering if anyone could point me to some instructions on how to resolve this problem w/ IFOEdit. I have the software and am fairly proficient in this type of thing. If not, I'll either try to figure something out myself, or exchange it. I just enjoy fixing problems as they occur, not ignoring them. Thanks.

I did the movie "unleashed" using DVD Shrink and it was just fine.....used fuji DVD-R....

It has absolutely nothing to do with the media I'm writing to. (See where I get the error message in the original post). The source is probably bad. I was just wondering how to arrive at a solution without exchanging the disc in case something like this comes up again.

Burned this with no trouble using SHRINK & Nero Recode2.
