Well I am about to buy a Qoob Pro and a Broadband Adapator for my Nintendo Gamecube, but I have a few questions.

1.) Should I go for the Hardware Case mod too? Is there any benifits to being able to use full sized DVDRs? Or will just using Mini-DVDRs work just the same? I dont want to change my Cube case unless I have to.

2.) I am a little new to the whole scene. I have dial up internet. Will I need to have Broadband Internet to backup games? Also, I will be able to use a program to backup the games right? I wont have to do the stupid Phantasy Star Method, correct? Is there a more indepth guide to backing up and burning gamecube games, a little more newbie friendly maybe?

3.) How hard is it to solder? I have never soldered before. If you know a place that will install the chip in my Cube, and its a trusted site, let me know.

1) The case mod is good since full size DVD-Rs are considerably cheaper than mini DVD-Rs. It shouldn't matter too much unless you plan on having a lot of back-ups.

2) You don't need broadband to back-up games, but you will need at least a cross-over cable and an ethernet card. You'll be able to use applications such as GCOM to back-up games using the BBA. Check the board for topics about GCOM and I'm sure you'll be able to figure out how to use it.

3) I find it very easy to solder, but since you've never soldered I suggest that you practice on scrap equipment first before trying to install the chip. If you don't feel confident about your soldering, just get someone else to do it so you don't risk damaging your GC. I'm not up on what sites are preferred for installation, so I can't help you with that one.
