Hi,

Having worked my way through the cheaper brands I discovered Traxdata (Ritek D01) discs offered best value and 100% writing successes and thought I was on to a bit of a winner with these and my Sony DRU700A & DRU810A drives.

All was well until I started buying packs which were only successfully writing 10-20% of the time. Each failure was at the same point - the layer change.

I checked what I thought were the same discs but instead of the discs having an ID of RITEK D01 they were RICHOJPN D00. I checked the Traxdata website and these were proper discs although now their compatibility charts have dropped them.

Has anyone else purchased Traxdata recently in the UK. Were these Ritek or Richo? Please be warned, there is no external difference between the disks and the ID can only be checked using DVD Decrypter or DVDInfo.

If you have recently purchased Traxdata Ritek D01's, where did you get them from? Both DVD Shop Online and BigPockets are supplying the RichoJPN discs.
