I heard u can load elf files onto your hdd and launch them with hd loader is this possible and if so could someone explain how or lead me to a tutorial

You can't launch the elfs with hdloader, but you do it with launchelf (or keylauncher) instead. Basically first you need to have the exploit setup with ulaunchelf. http://console.iscentral.net/download.php?view.203 You can get that there.

You then make a seperate partition on your HDD and add whatever elf files you want to use to that partition. The easiest way to do this would be to use PS2 PFS Explorer, IMO. http://explorer.egama.eti.br/ You can get it there.

Then you just setup ulaunchelf to boot whatever elfs you want to use off your HDD rather then your memorycard.

There's a tutorial for doing it with DMS Format Tool rather then PFS Explorer,too.
