Ok, basically, when I put a DVD+ (or -) R etc, Windows ID's it as a CD. Additionally, I use DVDLab Pro which burns using (and I quote) "A general ASPI writing Module)

This worked before, but now it doesnt. I threw away my LG DVD Super-Multi in favor of the current Sony DRU-710A but to no avail. Lastly, the HDD Light and the DVD burner light blink in unison...

I have updated the ASPI drivers to Adaptec's 4.71 and nada...

All my software acts like it burns, but then when I pop the disc back in, voila, its blank again...

Please help...throwing DVD Burners is expensive...thereputic, but expensive...

SYSTEM:
Asus main board
Pentium 3 GHz
2.5 GB DDRII 400 MHz Ram
Serial ATA HDD and Firewire External HDD
Sony DRU 710A DVD
(I have set all my IDE channels to "DMA if available")
