Did a search, checked the stickies, I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on my problem.

- I have an H2O modchip installed in a v7/8 ps2
- Original PS1 games work fine, backup PS1 games also work fine
- DVD movies work fine (original/backups)
- Original PS2 games work fine
- Backed up PS2 games will not boot.
- I'm using a LG GSA4160B (with newest F/W), it has never burnt a coaster before.
- Using maxell dvd-r disk, I've heard these are excellent quality and I have never had a problem with them in the past regarding quality/compatibility. The DISC ID = MXL RG03.
- I'm burning at 4x, the slowest speed that my LG can write these discs (discs rated for 8x)
- I have tried Alcohol, BlindWrite, DVD Decryptor, all the same result. Copies will begin to load, the Playstation2 logo will show up but the colors will be inverted (black text on a white box, instead of white text on black screen), then the red screen will show up saying to insert a PS1/PS2 disc. I've tried this with 2 originals, ATV2 & GTA3.

Anyone have any ideas, do I need to patch/rebuild via sticky?? I thought that was only needed with a Swap Magic. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

are you following the instructions about putting in the game and then pressing reset?

Autoboot on all consoles v1-v13, just insert any PS2/PS1 disc / DVDvideo and press RESET! No procedures!
- DEV1 mode on all v1-v13 consoles. The code runs "mc0:/boot/boot.elf" whed DEV mode is executed!
- Quality PCB design with laser-etched solder mask and automated components assembly!
- Uses latest ICE FINAL code (all credits go to the one and only ICE TEAM)!
- Direct boot of any PS2 CDR/DVDR, even multi-elf backups!
- PS1 import fix - PS1 games display at full screen!
- Macro-OFF + green-fix!

Movies will play anyway, back up movies will play on un unmodded
PS2.

maxwel DVD-R is no good.i recommend verbatim DVD-R as the best you can buy.and are very cheap.
