problem with swapmagic 2.0

I have a ps2 v4 with a fliptop, and im having some problem reading the swapmagic DVD, the cd is working fine, but the dvd does show up in the browser, but when I select it, it keeps coming back to the browser.

I tryed the white cog thing, but doesnt work

also my ps2 is reading all my originals, reading cd, dvd, it even reads backup dvd movies, the only dvd that doesnt work is the swapmagic dvd

I tryed the swapmagic dvd in the pstwo of my friend and it was booting

anyone has an idea ?

same EXACT thing happened with my v4 ps2. I ended up selling it on ebay and buying a new one. You probably need to adjust the dvd pot on the laser (requires taking the laser out of your ps2, which can do more harm than good).

Yeah that's true. I have a v.4 as well, and after your motherboard gets to around 5 years old, it can start to show signs of old age.

Ill bring it to the store where I bought the fliptop, they told me on the phone that they could adjust it and clean it for a few $, so ill try it, and if it doesnt work Ill got with an hardware one...

Yeah definitely don't try to adjust it yourself. Take it to a pro. Teammodders.com does all my mod and repair stuff.
