I need help!! I have X Copy Plat and have been unable to make a copy of The Wedding Date. I have read that the latest version of AnyDVD and X Copy Plat does not work and neither does AnyDVD and CloneDVD so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thank you.

I had no trouble with wedding date rip with DVD Decrypter and burn with shrink problem solved. 321 software is dated and has problems. Both those programs are free and can be downloaded here in software section.

I did the wedding date Saturday with AnyDVD, DVDdecrypter, and DVDShrink with an absolute perfect burn of the main movie only.

There is nothing special about this particular movie. Make sure your programs are updated to the current versions.

I would suggest the free downloads of DVDdecrypter, and DVDShrink, and DVDFab which is updated regularily to include the newer encryptions.

I would recommend the purchase of AnyDVD as it is excellent.

DVD Shrink does not work on its own (Wedding Date also defeats MacTheRipper), regardless of colw's experiences.

It does, however, burn if you use DVD Decryptor FIRST. I used DVDD to save it to HD and from there it burned QED.

And gwendolin is right, ScubaPete's guides at the dvdplusvideo.com site are excellent. Plus, both the webmaster and Pete himself respond to email inquires.

soccerman - did you read the other posts first?

Use DVD Decrypter (which you can download free from this site and others) to save it to your HD first, then from there use DVD Shrink.

For a good guide on using these together, go to http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/

@soccerman

Download the 21 day free trial of AnyDVD from http://www.slysoft.com

INstall it. and double click on the icon. You will see a red fox head in the task tray. Now insert the DVD Wedding Date into the DVD reader. Wait for the fox head to flash pale red and then back to dark red.

Now open up DVDShrink. Proceed as normal.

There is a guide for using DVDShrink and DVDDecrypter in my signature block.

Cheers. This should do it for you. After the trial perior I recommend that you purchase AnyDVD. Well worth the money.

Oh good grief!!!

There is no "DVD Shrink problem" if you use one of the other programs. I would recommend going with DVD Decrypter as both gwendolin and megabyte2 suggested before me and you will have NO PROBLEM. Case closed, thank-you-ladies-and-gentlemen-of-the-jury, court's adjourned. Decrypter is free and quick to download & install.

Or take 9mmruger1's advice by downloading the 21 day free version of AnyDVD. Perhaps you will like it enought to buy outright.

Soccerman, I had 0 trouble with this movie I riped it with decrypter then burned only the movie with shrink. It had no special protection and at the time I didnt own DVD43 or AnyDVD. Although for todays movies you need AnyDVD but not for this movie. If your still having trouble with this movie give me your symptoms in as much detail as possible (try not to give me the logs). Make sure you burn media is decent and make sure your source disk (original) is scratchfree and clean. Also I burn at 2x or less for the best results you might want to try that.

soccerman,

If you are using something like DVD Decryptor first, then getting an error message from Shrink you might want to try re-installing Shrink and take the time to follow ScubaPete's guides for using Decryptor with Shrink. I just used both on this film only 3 weeks ago, so they work.

HOWEVER - if you are STILL only using Shrink we can't help you at this point.

No techie can.

You will need to seek other, professional assistance. Be sure to mention ADD.
