spiderchip v1.1 cannot be reflashed

ok so i have the spiderchip v1.1 and the install went fine. i have ver 1.0 xbox. booted up and i flashed it with cromwell ver 2.24 bios. rebooted and only option i have is to insert a disk to read. i tried burning another bios using memorex cdrw 10x at 4x burn with nero and it wont recognize the cd. tried burning evoX making an xiso image then burning with nero. ive done alot of research on how to make bios and dashboard cds but nothing is working. ive tried multiple cd brands. does anyone know of a definite cd brand that my xbox drive (thompson)will accept? also ive seen multiple ways to add dummy files and if someone can tell me the correct way to do it and burn correctly i would greatly appreciate it.
