I am currently using an AverMedia DVD EZMaker PCI and it's associated MedioStream Software. I either capture off the air or via a VCR which acts as a tuner and/or tape player and produces an MPEG2 file. Once this file is edited, etc. I can produce a DVD. The main problem I see in this configuration is the "coarseness" of the audio in reference to the video. The sync is very good, but when a speaker starts talking, the video to audio is good, however, for a long sentence the video doesn't exactly follow the audio syllables (which I call "coarseness"), but at the end of the sentence(s) the video and audio are in sync. Does anyone know of a better Hardware/Software combination that treats the audio/video tracking somewhat better? I realize that the AverMedia is an "elCheapo" and am willing to spend more money to get something that does a better job of converting.

Thank you for reading this posting.
