I am doing the chapter only extraction. I use this so i get the movie and then i convert into an mpeg4 file so i can have it on my computer and it does not take up much space

I was using Mac the Ripper and Popcorn since about March of this year with no problems.

Then about July or so I got a message that "the hard drive has detected a security breach" when I was coping a Region 3 DVD. Had successfully copied other region DVDs at that point. From then on, I started having problems burning DVDs to the point where it would not even burn an IDVD movie created with mac software.

Apple finally changed my superdrive in October and all seems okay BUT I have not used mac the Ripper yet to copy any copy-protected/other region DVDs.

I upgraded Popcorn and am wondering......should I re-install Mac the Ripper - just to be safe. is there a better way to do the re-install? Sorry for this question...but I always get confused...what shouold I dump before I re-install the program????

Your help is appreciated as Apple won't touch my question with a 10-foot pole!!

(I posted this on another thread several days ago with no reply. Hope someone onthis thread can help with this simple question.....I am afraid to proceed and mess up the Mac the Ripper I already have installed) much much thanks
