Please help on how to use DVD2AVI

I rip DVD with smartripper and in DVD2AVI, I did all steps from Open to add vob, Audio menu to put track no. to 1, select 48=> 44.1 & High or Ultra High, Dolby Digital, Decode and Dobby Surround Downmix than lastly save project. Apparently, my DVD is esp. 3hrs and the wav file created comes about 2.15GB. Encountered "insufficient buffer" when trying to playback wav file in media player and has no sound for encoded mpeg1 with TMPGEnc.
Is it because of the wav file create is too big and what can I do about it? Anyone has instructions on how to use DVD2AVI?

Consider using better programs to make your backups, eliminates the hassle of manually running DVD2AVI.
