need help booting backed up game with gameshark

hey guys, this is my first try backing up a game and so far i can't get it to work. not sure if i'm burning the game wrong or not booting it right..

the game is star wars battlefront 2. i ripped it with the latest dvd decryptor, then patched it with windip 1.7 (following another thread on this forum), then burned the image onto a dvd-r with nero.

then i booted my ps2 with the latest gameshark 2 and when it got to the screen where i have the option for "start game", i chose that and picked "without codes". the tray opened, i closed it, and then used the slide tool to open it up and swap the burned game in. then i hit X to continue and nothing happened. now at that part, i tried it a bunch of different ways - swapped the disk before hitting start game, swapping when the tray opens, etc... nothing worked.

anyone know what i might be doing wrong?

1. I don't think you can use that version of gameshark if it automatically opens the tray.
2. Even if you can, your not doing it right for dvd backups. You have to refresh the toc.

He can't use the lastest game shark. The last one that you could boot backups with was version 2 or 1.9 or something like that. But basically they haven't sold a Gameshark or AR that boots backups in about 3 years.
