HELP ME! I´ve got FTP-trouble

Can somebody help with trouble i´ve got.

i´m trying to get an ftp-connection between my xbox and pc.

i´m using a switch and i have cross over cables going from switch to pc and from switch to xbox.

i have tried to change the ip in xbox. ihave tried to change ip in computer and xbox. i have tried to put the same ip to both, xbox and pc.

HELP ME OUT, I´m desperate!

I use a hub, but it's straight cables for the hub not xover..is your switch the same perhaps, or maybe only 1 xover cable and one straight through..simple first, just use 1 xover cable between the xbox and pc and get it going..then add the switch in the loop....

and setting up connection sharing.
that may help you out, they are pretty specific guides.
they also have a live chat room where you may be able to get
some real time help if anyone esle is on.

dud i had the same problem yestday but i was ableto do it using this

Your settings are messed up...

Change your settings to this:

PC:
IP: 192.168.1.100
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
(your current PC settings are fine)


Xbox:
IP: 192.168.1.101
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.100

(Notice how the Xbox's Default Gateway needs to be the EXACT same as the PC's IP address!)

That is a static setup. Your switch...is it a router with 4 port switch. If it is, use dhcp. Then just ftp to the IP it gives your xbox when you turn it on.
If you are using a switch, you need to be using regular cables, not crossover cables. You only use the crossover to ftp from xbox straigt to your NIC, or to link a switch and a hub without an uplink port.
USe FlashFXP,port 21, username and password are both "xbox"

Heh! Problem solved! my subnet masks were wrong in the xbox. i had changed them but xbox didnt keep the changes but now everything works great.
