Ok I have recently again started burning DVDs. I have a couple issues. First one is the play back. I do get some flickering and the movie seems to lag a bit and then I miss part of the movie. I am using Verbatim DVDs that are printable. Could that be my problem?
I am using Interview DVD Copy 3.
Any suggestions would be great. Also any suggestions on changing software and or DVDs would also be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Do you have labels on the copies?
What speed are you burning at?
Verbatims are good, are they =/-?
I have no experience with your copy/burn program as I use DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink (free programs) and CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD (retail).
My burns are turning out excellent.

@mikeoffy, I have used Intervideo Copy 3 and the one drawback is that you cannot adjust burn speed, so many including myself found ourselves either using 4x burn spped or setting the target as an HD folder and then use Nero or Copy to Dvd to burn the files...the new Copy 4 now creates Iso image, like Decrypter or Rebuilder Pro and shrink and Recode 2...beyond using 4x Taiyo Yuden's and 4x Verbatims I usually go to HD and then burn with Nero where I can adjust spped and Book type +R media which the stand alones see as a Dvd-Rom. You might be burning those Disks too fast. 4x is your goal and lately with my Sony I will burn some media at 6x (not one problem!). All my +R media is book typed using Nero or Decrypter.

@nikeoffy, 9mmruger1 mentioned CloneDVD 2 and I agree it is a great program and burns great...speed adjustable is nice. You can get the combo from www.slysoft.com (CloneDvd2 and AnyDvd).

@mikeoffy:
What is/are the condition of the original(s)?
Sometimes a good cleaning is all that is needed.

Booktype is like an identification of the Dvd media to the Dvd Rom or Burner drives. If you run Dvd Identifier on an actual movie disk...you would see it is classified as Dvd-Rom (works in a larger variety of players). +R media in some players will not play because it is +R and not -R or Dvd-Rom, Bitsitting is the ability to change the booktype from +R to -R (or Dvd Rom) and then it is able to be played in a larger variety of players. Nero can change the book type, as does Decrypter and perhaps several others, but the problem is that certain Burners cannot change the book type, but after the firmware has been updated or updated with a Modified firmware then the burner can change the book type. My Samsung can, as does my Sony (which is a rebadged Lite-on) and now my Nec can change the +DL media, and after I updat ewith a modified firmware then I can change the book type of +R media with the Nec. DL that have been changed work flawlessly in my Denon 2200 (very picky about +R media!).

If using Nero...right before you burn thereis apage that has a button that is labled options, click that butto and you will see if your burner supports bitsetting, or when using Decrypter under Tools then scroll down to Change booktype, or just click the little book at the right hand corner and then change the booktype.

You know in the case of my Sony, it is a lite-on re-badged, and I see the lite-on tab and then just run through the choices. Interesting is that Decrypter doesn't have Samsung, but ImgBurn does and that is how I change the samsung from +R to -R. I do not know much about that brand of burner. One way of finding out is through Nero, on the last page prior to burning there is an options button. Click that and you should see an area labled Book Type or Set. If not then, like in my case, I wasn't able to book type Nec. I just flashed my Nec with Liggy and Dee's 1.03 modified firmware which allows bitsetting for all +R media. Maybe someone here that has a lot of experience using Burners can provide some insight into your burner. Let me know what you find out. Have a good day my friend.
