Firstly I'm totally new to DVD editing/burning etc. I have a DVD which has been authored incorrectly i.e. the menu doesn't work correctly and relevant to this question the video it was copied from is a bit dark in places etc. I am using Virtualdub to edit the video. I have ripped the first VOB file to my hard drive. Opened it in Virtualdub and edited it - it looks fine, and runs ok in virtualdub preview screen. When I try and save the file to a new .avi it appears to process ok however I have noticed that the frame rate shown in the save window varies between almost nothing and about 38 fps. When the new file is played the editing had been saved but the file plays at about slow with the sound intermittent. I have a 6 month old 2.8Ghz P4. Help!!!
