This is driving me nuts!!! I have three movies i'm trying to back up.Underworld,Charlie and the chocolate factory(new one),and Edward scissorhands.All of my other movies seem to back up fine.These three are all giving me grief.I've tried DVD Shrink with decrypter,anydvd,dvdfab,dvd region+css....nothing.I get this message with charlie and the chocolate factory using dvd decrypter. E 01:21:28 Failed to read Sector 2839984 - Unknown (Positioning Error) (0x15, 0x83)

The message is similar with the other two movies.Please help.

Try cleaning the disc real well. Is it scratched? Can you exchange the disc's.

I have done these DVD without a hitch using AnyDVD, dvddecrypter, and dvdshrink.

I think that it probably is a press issue.

The discs all look fine.I don't know ,is it common to have bad discs?

In decrypt change the method to agressive, that will usually work w/ problem disc. Decrypt is a really good thing to when your working w/ problem disc.

If it can't read a sector of the movie, it's a bad press movie that can't be copyed. i had a movie like that. got a new one and it copyed just fine.

First off i just wanted to say thank you for the help so far ...i really appreciate it.Now I just took two of the movies to a friends house and they burned on his computer no problem.Is there some settings or something i should be looking at on one of my programs or burner?
