Can I downgrade using MPH? I hear PSP giga pack firmware is 2.0 pre-installed? What is that mean?

Solong as you PSP is only a v2.0 and ** NOT ** a v2.01 or a v2.50. then yes. But, I have heard romurs that the Giga-Pack came with either v2.01 or v2.50 installed at Retail. Neither of wich will currently allow you to downgrade or run Homebrew. It's not going to help you much to learn that alot of the Brains that bought about Homebrew on the PSP have left the scene.
If you only have a PSP v2.0, then Homebre could be a fun diversion for a while. But, with more and more Games comming out before the Hollidays' requireing you to have atlest v2.0 installed increasses, and the liklehood that furture Gamas will require v2.50 or even v3.0 which is expected to be relesed next Month! It may not be worth the bother to even go though all this trouble...
wow! thanks for the info. Even I have 2.0 then I downgrade to 1.50. So I can still upgrade the firmware to 2.5 or 3.0 when most of the game require 2.5/3.0 to play right?
No you can't you can use the WAB Thingy to trick you PSP into 'thinking' its a v7.9+. But, at the end of the Day it's still just a plain 'ol v1.5!
If what you just said is even remotly correct and it is (solong as your still in the v1.5x Family!) then you could still be able to play Games that requierd a v1.5x Update, on v1.50. (i.e. 1.51 & 1.52)
Other Games cough GTA:LCS, SOCOM and Hustle "Streets of Chicago" cough will requre you to have v2.0 installed. as those Games require firmware v2.0 in order to run decrypted on your PSP?, otherwise you'll be looking down at some Error Screen.
So no, the WAB Changer WILL NOT WORK to run newer Games on the v1.50 Firmware...
I am just wandering, I can find some torrents GTA:LCS, they seeding. Even we cant play it on 1.50..why they keep seeding? some are 800mb, some are 600mb? may be they can run under 1.50? I dont want to waste my bandwith..
no, they're just for t3h l4m3 who dunno about the error, and for the coders who wanna find out a way to crack it. or for those wo just want em for no reason.
but currently there is NO / KEINEN / 没有 way to run GTA on Homebrew PSPs.
