My Ps2 has started to make this weird(shall i call it grinding)noise. My warranty is out but i still want it fixed. There is no place near me to send it. Dose any 1 know a Official place to send it to get it fixed that is near Mississippi?

I installed a flip top lid on a PS2 that was making a noise like that. It was problem with the gears on the tray. I set the tray in the right position where discs would read and then took the eject button off so I would no longer hit it. That worked for me.

It doesnt matter if the warranty is out. Mine was out years ago and still got it fixed. It had the same problem with the grinding noise, know a few other ppl that had the same problem. We all sent them back to Sony and we all got them fixed took about 2 weeks to get the ps2 back. http://www.us.playstation.com/support.aspx?id=howtoobtainservice go there and call them. They'll give u an address as to where to send it to.
