Hi again,
I have been trying for almost a week to burn movies, any movie, and have been unsuccessful. I have used DVD Shring, DVD Decrypter, and Nero OEM. I have been on line trying to find out if maybe I have the wrong settings. Tonight, I found a site "www.dvdplusvideo.com" and I followed everything perfectly. The movie decrypted just fine; however, when I went to Shrink to open the files, I got the following message: "DVD Shring encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to open file "C\rip file\video_ts\video_ts.ifo". I checked to see if the files were there and all the ones that are supposed to be there are there. I have a Sony DVD RW-530 A burner, and have used Phillips, Sony & Memorex DVD+R's and RW's.
With Nero,I thought maybe my burner would not accept Nero OEM, so I tried to download Nero 6. Count not find one to "download". So, thinking that OEM might be a problem, I deleted it from my pc before doing the burn process as listed above. I defragged my pc about 2 days ago. Can't think of anything else to do, and am frankly out of my mind now. Please help!! Thank you.

I am not sure which movie you are trying or why you are getting an error in shrink unless you have a bad press.

I would download DVDFab decrypter(free) asit can handle the newer encryptions that are out there. Then start from scratch using bbmayo's guide step by step. You can get the guide for DVDFab, DVDdecrypter, and DVDShrink in my signature block. Go to bbmayo's website and print it out. Follow the steps in the proper order and you will get it.

It seems to be a daunting exersize when first starting out, but once you get the proper sequence of events down it is not that difficult.

post back your results.

That being said, there are also two really great retail programs out there as well from http://www.slysoft.com. They are CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD. Definately worth the money and if you tell them you are and AD subscriber they will give you $10.00 off.

cheers.

gibbscd ,
Welcome to the forum. The error message you got "DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to open file "C\rip file\video_ts\video_ts.ifo" Looks like you had a corrupt .ifo file. Re-rip the disk again and make sure you rip all of the files to HD. Use the programs 9mmruger1 suggested but if it happens again you will need to take the disk back for an exchange

Hi again,
I have tried another way suggested above using DVD Shrink and decrypter. Everything goes along just fine with decrypter and tnen when I start to use shrink, and get to the part where it tells you to move the Title 1 from where the movie was copied I now get this message: DVD shring encountered an error and cannot continue. Failed to read the "C\dvd work\movie\VTS_02_1.VOB". This happens with every movie I have tried, not just one. Also, it seems that every movie has size over 7,000. I also at another site downloaded an aspi, which was suggested. I used to be able to copy anything with shrink, Nero, decrypter. Now nothing works. I'm so frustrated.
Any suggestions. Everyone seems to have their own way of burning, ie, different settings. I have tried so many. Thanks.
