I do not want to have to put a modchip in and do all that because thats just way too much to do by myself unless i buy from a place where they do it for me, but even then i would have to know which modchip to buy, and i remember there was some site like modchip man or modman that was reccomended to me and you could buy a ps2 with the mod chip in it or send it to them so they could put it in ure current ps2.
Now that i explained that i dont have to go that way. I heard there is something called "swapmagic" but it doesnt seem to play ALL games just certain games and I dont want that--im not sure this is true, could anyone confirm that this is true?. I am just wondering if you guys could help me here figure this stuff out..
i would recomend a modchip if you don't know alot about rebuilding games. Swap magic allows you to play games without a modchip. You must have however a slide tool or a fliptop for your ps2.
I purchased a dms 4 pro modchip and sent it with my ps2 to a guy in california. He did an excellent job and I had my system back in a week.
Total for the chip and the install was a little over 100 dollars. A swap magic disk is about 30 to 35 I think? Like I said, you can play most games with the swap magic but I have seen posts all over this site for people that want help rebuilding games so they can play them with swap magic.
I have never had to rebuild a game, and I understand you should not need to if You have the right modchip.
ok what are some good sites where i can either buy a modded ps2 or mail them my ps2 for them to install it in, i saw a site called like modchipdude, or modchipman, or modchipguy, or something like that that sounded like a good deal and they were well respected. any help here?
