So I backed up my Pappa Rappa, and got the backup (I burned it at 32X) playing on my modded PSX. The only issue is that it's vertically scrolling, I don't know the proper term for it. But basically it just keeps scrolling up and up and up.It's like having a VHS tape with really bad tracking.

Should I have burned the backup at 1X? Or is there a simple setting I can set for the backup to display properly?

I'd say that the problem is with the burn speed. You should try it at 4X and be sure to use good media.
