ok heres a list of what i got to make and play ps2 backup games...

DVD Burner-NEC Black 16X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 8X DVD+R DL 16X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2M Cache IDE DVD Burner - OEM

PlayStation 2 PS2 Slide Card and Swap Magic v3.6 Combo

PS2 V12

Fliptop for the slimer version

Memorex DVD-Rs

i have tried many several ways when i load the the swap magic it says load program and video mode...it never gives me a insert disk message untill after i lift the lid (not the tray lid the lid on that if you know what a flip top does) and then it says "insert bigger TOC" which then i put the burned iso DVD-R disk in but it says at the bottom in blue "not ps2 formatt" and i push the load program but it doesnt do anything it pauses for a moment then just keeps running the same screen...so my question is this: can anyone that uses the same v12 ps2 and swap magic v3.6 tell me what they do to play there ps2 backup disks? i have no clue and not much money to keep buying uneeded stuff so...

Try getting smaller packs of DVDs until you actually find one that works, then by the larger packs.

That will help me the most and i appreciate your postings im not yellin at ya or anything i just assume you can understand my frustration and annoyance level right now heh

Yeah we can understand why you're annoyed, but on the other hand... if you'd spent time searching through the forums and reading posts then you may not have had those problems.
I spent about a month on here when I first joined just reading the posts and bookmarking relevant info and generally just learning stuff that I needed to to back up games. Hardly ever had a problem since.

Now to your question. It'd help if you told us what program you used to back up your games? But for now I'll give you a good method:-

Use DVD Decrypter in iso read mode to get the iso onto your hard drive.
use DVD Decrypter in iso write mode (select the mds file) write at 4x on good 8x DVD-R media (see sig for good media types)

With swap magic it never gives you an insert disc message at all... what it does is comes to the load screen and the "load program" flashes, then you open the lid and take the swap magic disc out and put the backup game in, close the lid and press x.

That should be all you need to do
