Plz can somebody help. i've got a few dvds here i have been trying to backup for days. this keeps happening and i can find nothing but technobable. Does anyone know a workable solution this common problem. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum. Try Ripping the disk to HD using DVDFab Decrypter: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvdf...

Below is a guide one of our members did and if you folloe it you will have no problems:

You also before you try the above is clean the disk real well. If ripping w/ DVDFab Decrypter fails then you have a bad disk and need to return it for exchange

I just hit a CRC on DVD Shrink when trying to back up Fright Night. Disc had some scratches and smudges. Took some windex and sprayed it on the disc. Wiped with a lens cloth. Re-inserted DVD. Shrink had no problems. Encoded and analyzed with no errors or stoppage. I can't get much less techno-babble than that. :)
