CD-RW Trouble! Can't Burn!!

Having trouble with my cd-rw.. I open nero and try to burn an audio cd, it starts off fine, then when it gets to like 5%, the drive pops open and the drive just stops working.. it wont even close automatically (have to push it in manually, or until i reboot).

I've tried different burner programs, such as easy cd, cdmate, cdrwin. I'm on windows XP sp1.

Can anyone help me? Don't wanna have to get a new burner since I just got this one recently.. it used to work up until a few weeks ago.
