I'm using DivXtoDVD 0.5.2.99 to convert some AVI episodes to DVD and its working fine, a nice piece of software. The problem is that I dont know how to get the episodes in the right order.
When I use the software I open up all the AVIs at once using the shift click principle. This seems to order the episodes in the 'open' command line in a different order to what they are on my explorer pane. I can't seem to change the order once they are in DivXtoDVD. How do I get it to put the AVIs in the correct order, starting with episode 1? I intend to burn with DVD Decryptor.
I dont think I can simply rename the BUP, IFO and VOB files can I? Surely they are already controlled by the VIDEO_TS file. As I'm using the freeware version I wouldn't want to upgrade to a shareware version which would put some text on the screen. Can anybody recommend the best method to use?
Thanks. I still have the problem where I have seven VTS_0x_0.BUP, IFO and VOB files (all of roughly equal length as each other) as well as the VIDEO_TS.BUP and IFO file - all looks to be fine.
Yet when I burn it (DVD Decrypter and Plextools) I get seven chapters all five minutes apart, the last chapter runs the length of around 6 episodes. I presume this is created during the DivXtoDVD stage. Even importing it into DVD Shrink wont create the correct half-hour chapter markings.
I presume that this wont happen if I got the latest non-freeware version of DivXtoDVD but I wouldn't want to take the chance if it did exactly the same thing.
Hi, I've just played the output of the DivXtoDVD procedure (the directory of IFO, VOB and BUP files) using WinDVD and it has the same problem.
It has given the first AVI it converted five chapters, each five minutes in length, but none of the other episodes have any chapters at all, not even the start of them. Looks like its DivXtoDVD that is creating the problem.
Looking at the DivXtoDVD readme file it says that it can only really convert one DivX file so I understand why it hasn't taken care of chapter markings on the other episodes.
Do you know if there's a freeware way of doing this? I may have to test out the new DivXtoDVD to see if it works.
Sorry, I don't have the freeware version of VSO with me anymore (only the commercial version), so I can't test to see whether and how it's giving you the problems. The commercial version, on the other hand, does let you set the time for inserting chapters. Maybe you can check to see if the freeware version would do the same.
