How are you going to rip an xbox360 game when a PC or an xbox wont read the disc? You would need a modified xbox360 or an xbox360 development kit.

I though people still couldn't even rip xbox 1 games. They use a diferent format don't they. Not a standard ifo file or something.

no its actually relatively easy to rip xbox games, you just need to hook the xbox up to the computer and put the game in the xbox and ftp it over.

Hadn't thought of that actually. Any link to page or forum on how to do that specifically? And do the ripped games then play on a standard xbox or a modded only? Or can you then use a program to play those on your PC?

you need a modded xbox, try the xbox forums here, or xboxscene.com forums if you really want to get into modding.

why wouldn't a computer read it? if these are dvd discs then the computer will read it. it will probably be possible to rip them, but actually finding a way to play them on the system will be the hard part.

Actually NO a computer wont read it.
If it's a copied game on a DVD+-R then you can make another copy of it with just a computer using the copy disc function in your burning software. Your computer still doesn't read the contents of the disc. It's a totally different file structure and opens using the xbox os and with factory pressed discs, you can't make copies of the disc unless you FTP from the xbox dvdrom drive to your computer or use an xbox app like DVD2Xbox.

where are all the tech people that solve these problems. what kind of file type does the 360 games use? we can start there. and maybe just maybe we can hack the games the same way we hack xbox games. ftp to the 360. we need to mod it first. is there any softmods that are being worked on? is there mod chips out yet? i am going to google it and be back later.

yeah, sorry, I know that now. I only copy ps2 games, and I thought it was the same for the original xbox.

The system has been out for 1 week, give it time, prob gonna take 2-12months before the 360 gets cracked wide open. Save the questions like this for Spring time. Maybe do a search and find the other billion threads asking the same exact question...no you're not the 1st.

a grp calling themselfs Pi have made their ultility for ripping Xbox 360 games avaible. I dunnno if I can say exactly where but its already on Usenet :P a Google search oughta find it too (maybe)
you still cant play the game - XBox 360s wont read the disc w/o a modchip (which dont yet exist) So its pointless to burn the ripped game's data
