dh advance and hard drive problem plz help

hey this is my problem 5 days ago i bought a used ps2 came wid network adapter from gamestop. i bought hd advance 3 and a 200gig segate hard drive model # ST3200822A which was compatible wid the ps2 from ps2drives.x-pec.com. ok the first day it worked great then 2 days later it gives the error about not finding the hard drive. tried 4 different hard drives which should of worked but didnt then i bought a new network adapter. Tried it still got the error. now 4 hard drives and 2 network adapters cant be wrong something is deff wrong wid the system. But the thing that kills me is that i can still play games online! which is a problem cause if i couldnt play games online that would mean its something wid the system but i can connent so i have no clue why the hell it just decided not to work now. Anyone else have this problem? im probly going to just return it for another and tell them its broken. but i thought this was a werid problem. any answers?

Well if you don't have the Hard Drive connected to the Network adaptor and PS2 JUST RIGHT it won't recognize the Hard Drive... It's not like it makes the tightest connection in the world to the back of the PS2..

I wonder if they make a cable for it.. Would be easier connect a cable to the PS2 and the Network Adaptor than trying to get it to line up right the 1st time....

Trust me it's not you or your HD/System it happens to me all the time

Just make sure once you have it in there recognizing the drive you screw it down really tight

yea i spent 2 hours trying that didnt work but im just goin to return the segate for a maxtor i just maxtor more then segate but i'll keep that in mind.
