NTSC game+DNAS patch (or rebuild) = work online on PAL machine?

I have a PAL version (slim) PSTwo with modchip. I tried the DNAS patching with PAL game and it works fine.

My question: is it possible that the DNAS patching or rebuilding to NTSC games work online on may PAL machine?

I tried DNAS patch to NTSC game, but didn't work, say

with a pstwo it's impossible. With older ps2s (v7 and below) it is possible but it's not as simple as patching the game.
