OK, here's my situation. I have a PS2, ver 5, modded with a Magic 3.6. The laser finally died on me. I have a hard drive to load my backups on. I have the Winhiip software. I've loaded HDLoader and an image of an original game on the hard drive. I want to be able to continue using my PS2 without using the laser to boot it. I do have a new slimline PS2 that I'm not going to touch. I've read that to do a MC exploit you can't use a new PS2. I have the codebreaker disc to make the MC Exploit. How can I still use the old PS2 to play my backups? I'm not buying a new laser. That's out of the question. Is there a guide that will "hold my hand and walk me step by step" through making my old PS2 usable again?

Thanks in advance
