i need help, i have no d: drive

please help. i have no d: drive(dvd drive). i recently installed the newest edition xenium sp ice chip, seems to work fine, however i had a lot of problems loading up a new bios via a disc, i tried 4 different cdrw media, and 2 diff dvd-r media, no luck, when i go to add new item-flash-there is no d:. couldnt get any disc to read

finally i was able to ftp, installed new bios, m6plus i think, installed evox dash, all through ftp, but still cant find d: with or without a disc in drive, wether or not im in evox or the xenium os, i cant acces d: and get get to it by ftp.

but if i put a game in the xbox(original game) it loads it up and it works fine, same with a burned music disc, on one of the cdrw's i have, so i assume the media isnt to blame and the drive is hooked up correctly.

any help would be greatly appreciated
