Ok, recently i purchased ADS DVD Xpress to transfer my old vhs to dvd. The program works great and transfers my vhs to an mpeg format. However i found Nero to be really bad at burning them to dvd after the encoding.

Therefore i downloaded VSO DivXtoDVD v0.5.2b to do the encoding for me. My question is, after the program encodes the mpeg what do i do? I have DVD Shrink and Decrypter on my laptop already and would like to use these programs to burn my encoded mpeg (as they have never steered me wrong). Anyone have a clear step by step process i can perform to get the dvd i want. Alos most of my dvd's are 3 hour movies (ufc and wrestling ppv's). So keep in mind any timing changes i may have to make.

Thus Far:
1.Captured VHS to MPEG-2 using ADS DVDXpress
2.Encoded Mpeg using VSO DivXtoDVD v0.5.2b (i noticed it created two folders when encoding. One for the Movie name, and the other for video_ts)
3. A Little Help :)

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am not the most knowledgable guy when it comes to this stuff.

re encoding this , isnt thsat a waste of time as you already encoded it to mpeg2 which is the correct format and DivX to dvd is only going to encode it to mpeg2 also

ok, like i said i am new to this stuff and i do not really understand how it works. I have messed around with it for a couple of days and found that capturing the file and using Nero works really well. I had accidentally changed it to "wrtie to disc image" instead of burning the file to a disc.

all you really need to do is when you capture originally , make sure the output is in an mpeg2 compatible format. This is the format that is required for dvd burning.

What version of Nero are you running?
