My mate formatted his e drive after i softmadded it now he has no dashboard HELP PLZ

I softmodded my mates xbox and he formatted the E drive. I saved evrything to the e drive and now he has no dashboard. Does anyone no how i can get a dashboard to put back on to his xbox and if so where to put it.
P.s i can ftp to access the xbox as i used to be a modder on halo 2.
Thanks any help would be GREATLY appreachiated

try using dead or alive 2 and go as if yoiur goin to go online and it will restore ur daSH

The softmod dashboard is saved in the E: partition. DoA2 most likely will detect the xboxdash.xbe and not replace it. Try that anyway, it might work.

If it does not work, I guess you should install modchip for your box. Then download some autoinstallers online (google x-disk, xboxhq). They have all dashboards that you never seen before.

yeah Slayer 2.6 is a great autoinstaller. has dashbords and apps
out the wazoo. everything you could need, but you may have to have a
chip to use it. No sure as mine already had a chip when i did.

cheers for all the replys but my mate hasnt got a live account on his xbox and as there is no dashboard i cnt put one of my accounts on. Since he formatted the E drive wudnt it delete evrything. But if doa2 will install a new dash without havin an account on the xbox ill rent it and try doing what you said. I cud try and hard mod it but were wud i get a cheap chip from and how wud i install it.

you can get chips all over the net.
Duo2X and executer3 are 2 of the best and they are about $50
i think. BUt i do not reccomend doing the install yourself.
A chip is just the way to go, especially if you don't play
online.
I do know some guys who mod Xboxs (where i bought mine)

But they are a bit backed up due to high demand right now so
it will be next month until they will do anything.

thing is though i live in england so they probably wouldnt chip mine and if they would it would probably cost me more than the xbox its self to ship it to the U.S

been there done that after you lock a few you learn there is a way to unlock your drive goto xbox scene its a major pain soft mod is the best way to go. 10 minutes your done. make sure you get a xbox with a smsung drive there the best and play any format thrown to them. philips play +r thompsons play -r those two are pure junk a samsung has 2 dime size holes in them. i have put a 120 gig in mine and you can backup a game straight to your hard drive no computer needed and the best thing is when you take your xbox anywhere you can take all your games 120 holds 50-80 games
