Hey i was wondering if anybody has had this problem or knows how to fix this problem my ps2 wont play any cd back ups but it plays my dvd back ups with out any problems i have a mod chip in my ps2 and it was able to play back up cd's before but recently it just stoped playing them does anybody know how to fix this problem ?

you can try the Laser fix and see if it works if not your laser maybe going bad.. Mine is doing just the opposite won't play DVD but will play PS2 & PSX Cd's .. 5 or 6years old so I guess it's time for it to go :)

Alot of people have problems playign backup CD-R games on thier PS2. I have the same problem. Below is a guide on how to convert the CD-ROM games into DVD-ROM games and burn them to DVD. It works perfect. Alot of people do it. So hope the link below helps.
