My computer uses up to (cycles up & down) 800MB memory while burning DVD-Rs.In windows Task Manager under Proformance Tab- will show physical memory both total & available during the burn process. All my software and hardware works fine while burning DVD-Rs. Is this ram usage normal for most systems while burning DVDs?

Sytem:XP Pro;AMD2600+;1Gig pc2700 ram;DRU500A using DVDXCopy

Yes. Burning a dvd is very memory intensive. Don't try multi-tasking while burning.
