total newbie. a few questions related to capturing vhs tapes to my sony trv460. first, do i need a TBC ( timebase corrector ) for a good signal? i don't even know what that is but i've seen it mentioned somewhere. Second, can i use a separate s-video cable for the video ( while using the cable that came with the camcorder for the audio ) ? does that impact using a TBC? Third, Do you know if i can capture an/or convert my old vhs movies ( copywright protected/encrypted films ) in this way. i heard there is initially a copywright problem with converting using a canopus or other converter but that the problem with canopus can be circumvented.
