Hello, there.

I have three DVD Recorders on my Computer, so 1 is plugged into IDE Channel and the others are installed by an external USB Enclosure.

I have been doing some PS2 backups and for a long time nothing wrong had occured.

Since a week, I've noticed that the burners on the USB ports burn normally, but my PS2 doesn't read the discs. (The discs get burned, but don't read. My PS2 only read the discs burned on my IDE DVD Recorder).

What could be happening? I really need some help on it, 'cause I can't get any support here in Brazil, and I can't really imagine what's happening.

I'm using Alcohol (Latest Version) and my DVD recorders are LG 4163B (IDE), 4165B (USB1) and 4163B (USB2).

Thanks in advance,

Has there been any change in the media you have been using? Also is your Ps2 chipped or are you using another booting method?

I changed the media to Samsung Pleomax DVD-R 8x.

My Playstation2 is chipped with Mars PRO (GM-603)

Thanks.

I've had problems with Samsung media not working either so it could just the media, can you try other media like Verbatim or TDK? If you want to make sure its the media b4 you go and buy new DVDs then try using DVD Decrypter to find out the media code and then you can find out how good the media is, also if it say "Made In Taiwan" then there's a good chance its bad media as that is often the case with "Made In Taiwan" media. Am not a modchip man myself but i do believe that modchip users can update there firmware for there chips but that is often a last resort.
