which media is better to backup my dvd's, memorex dvd+r 16x made by ricoh in japan or sony dvd+r 8x with AccuCORE technology made in japan ?
any advises........?

The Sonys are much better, and i think you will find they are either Taiyo Yuden manufacture or Sony media, both are excellent. But the Accucore means they are proud of their dye. Rioch isn't up there in the same class with Taiyo Yudens, or Sony media. The 16x speed of the memorex doesn't matter as i hope you are not trying to burn that fast.

That's genuine Taiyo Yudens staring back at you.. Great stuff. You have to look for it under brand names, always in the MIJ pacakages. Sony, Fuji, and others have them hiding under their +R formats.

Definitely the sony yudens over memosux ricohs. Maybe next batch of the memosux +16x will turn up as cmags?

The taiwanese sony +8x are SonyD11 and still very good media.

I can't complain about ricoh.Still pretty good,but haven't encountered any in the 8x or 16x speed range.
