Make sure you are in the proper mode. If you are going to copy from a disc to your hard drive, insert your Original DVD & go into File Mode. Then press the Decrypt button.

If you are going to burn an Image to a DVDR, make sure you are in ISO Write mode. Also, make sure your blank is inside your DVDRW drive.

In either case, also make sure you have the proper drive selected.

I mean make sure the drive letter is showing in the source drop down menu. It should be the drive you put your movie in.

And make sure you insert the movie DVD or blank DVD in your DVD drive.

"Medium not present" means there is no disc inserted. Either you did not insert the disc, you are in the wrong mode, or you have selected the wrong drive.

There is also a rare case that your drive is either not recognizing your DVDRs or your drivers & firmware may need updating.
